They are America's largest network of quality hostels. They are the U.S. affiliate of the global organization Hostelling International, with more than 4,000 hostels in over 60 countries. Their hostels offer a warm and friendly atmosphere and are great places to meet people from around the world. Our mission is "to help all, especially the young, gain a greater understanding of the world and its people through hostelling"


This membership can be used with a group of 10 or more people traveling together under the group name listed on the membership card.

It is good in any of our 4000+ hostels worldwide.

The group must travel and stay together though and is only good for non-profit groups, therefore families of 10 or more people traveling together are not covered.

Families would have to purchase adult memberships ($28/person/year), senior memberships ($18/person over age 55/year) or youth memberships (free for anyone 17 and under) in order to get the same member Hostelling International benefits.


Programs

Become more open minded, caring world travelers. This program consists of 4 sessions:

The first teaches about culture and a country is picked by the group to study.

The second and third sessions are devoted to doing research on their country and preparing a presentation.

The fourth session is a dinner.

The youth come together and prepare a meal typical of their country. We provide recipes and the food needed. The presentation is also given.
