The Ability Center
If you have a special needs child or need help receiving an IEP through you local school, please contact The Ability Center of Defiance at 1-877-209-8336 and ask for Kristina Baxter.
She will help with these things and will show you what rights you have.
This does not cost you anything even if she comes to your home or attends meetings with you and your public school.
She really helps families.

Western Buckeye Educational Service Center Curriculum and Instructional Services, Special education and related services. They supply early childhood screenings and preschool children ages 3-5 with identified disabilities are provided with program options and related services for parents and assures the IEP is developed in accordance with evaluation results. They also supply Kindergarten screenings, intervention assistance teams, multifactured evalations, service coordination, counseling, early childhood collaboration and special education programs all for free. Call Pauldings office at 419 399 4711 or the Van Wert Office at 419 238 4746. They also offer a gifted program for children in the Paulding and Van Wert area.
