Work Permits

Pre-Application Forms - Student (Minor), Employer, and School Use

To obtain a minor work permit, students/minors should use a pre-application form to gather the necessary information and approvals from their potential employer and from their parents or legal guardian. The form is filled out completely, signed, and is then taken to the minor's school where a permit is issued based on the information on the form. Anyone (student, employer, or school personnel), may print a copy of the form to begin the process of obtaining a work permit. In addition, the Physician's Certificate can be printed out for those minors that are required to take a physical for employment purposes. The forms are in PDF format.

All of the above information was taken from the below website:

This doesn't mean that they don't have to go to school all day.

It is really up to your school district and local school policy.

Most of them have you attend all day or nothing. They only way to get around this is by going to a vocational school or post secondary enrollment.

This is also the case for younger children.

How to decide if your child needs to take the SAT or ACT?

To decide this you need to call the advising departments of the colleges your child would like to attend and ask them if they prefer the SAT or ACT and you also need to ask them if they prefer it to be taken with or without the writing.

You also need to tell the college what profession your child will be taking for them to answer the above questions correctly.

Here's a few of the colleges that I know about what they prefer"

Rhodes in Lima will take either without writing unless you want to get into nursing or something like that you should probably call to make sure if your doing something like this.

Ohio State University in Columbus prefer either SAT OR ACT with writing. You really need to check with them on the profession of your choice though.

Most American colleges will accept either the SAT or ACT.
